China Bowling Association, Hoge Lumber and DBA from the United States collaborated on a joint program which was called "1999 Beijing Bowling Lane Resurfacing and Maintenance Training Program" which ran from June 20-24, 1999. This program aimed to train bowling lane resurfacing technicians in China. More than twenty bowling installation technicians participated in this comprehensive 5-day program, which included classroom seminars and hands-on training. Meanwhile, Frank Zhao's team worked on resurfacing the 36-lane Xihua Bowling Center in Beijing.
